The Board
Robert A. Flischel
Bob graduated from Xavier University in 1971. He studied photography under Kazik Pazoyski and credits his artistic style to Pazoyski's influence. Mr. Flischel is a founding trustee of Radio Reading Service, which assists the visually impaired. He has served on the Board of the regional chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers and is President Emeritus of the Art League.
Grace Royalty
Grace is a Career Law Clerk to the Honorable Michael R. Barrett, United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Grace serves on the board of the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and the Cincinnati Bar Association’s Professionalism Committee. Since 2017, Grace has taught Legal Ethics as an adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati College of Law. She is the current President of the Board for My Nose Turns Red Youth Circus. Her background in Art History and love of old buildings led her to the Art League almost twenty years ago. She lives in Cincinnati with her husband and three sons who are students in the Cincinnati Public Schools.
Jeni Eckman
Jeni moved here to Cincinnati from her home state of Minnesota in 2004 to attend graduate school at the University of Cincinnati. After graduating in 2006 from the DAAP program with a Masters in Art History and Certificate in Museum Studies, she immediately started a job as an Assistant Registrar at the Cincinnati Art Museum, where she began the year prior as an intern in the Registration Department. After 5 years in that position, she changed directions from collection management to special exhibitions, and is now the Associate Registrar of Exhibitions at the Cincinnati Art Museum.
Emma Hensley Car
Emma Hensley Car is from Dayton Ohio and graduated from University of Cincinnati in 2019, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Art History and a museum studies certificate from DAAP. She obtained her Masters in Art Education from The Ohio State University and is the Assistant Director of Gallery Education at the Contemporary Arts Center in downtown Cincinnati.
Larissa Cullen
Larissa has been President since October, 2019, and a Member of the Board of Directors since 2016. She learned about the Art League and its mission while researching her Great-Grandfather, a CPS School Principal in the early 20th Century. Larissa holds a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art from Columbus College of Art & Design. After dedicating many years to the retail industry, she is currently focusing her time on artwork. When not at an art museum, library or outdoor event, she can often be found in her studio (LTC Fine Artist), at the Pendleton Art Center OTR, painting in oils and watercolor.
Linda Kiefer
Linda was born and raised in Cincinnati and taught history in the Cincinnati Public Schools for over 30 years. After retiring, she lived in Shanghai, China and worked at Shanghai Singapore International School. Now back in the States, she enjoys volunteering as a tour guide at Music Hall and as a docent at the Cincinnati Art Museum.
